Additional information regarding the unidentified flying object (UFO) that was shot down by the military on Sunday has been provided by White House authorities.
Elissa Slotkin, a Democrat from Michigan, verified that the U.S. Air Force shot down an unidentified object in Lake Huron on Sunday.
White House correspondent Arlette Saenz provided an update on the details that the authorities had made public regarding the event in a Sunday CNN story.
Says Saenz: “I now have additional information, thanks to a senior administration official.
“They were describing the precise appearance of this mysterious item.
“When it was shot down, it was travelling at a height of roughly 20,000 feet. It was getting close to Lake Huron after flying over a portion of Michigan’s upper peninsula.
“Ultimately, fighter planes brought it down.
It had an octagonal shape, according to a senior administration official, and strings hanging from it had no obvious payload.
“That description was also provided by another source who had been briefed on the situation.”
The White House has not provided any additional information regarding the nature of the item, but recent developments follow the shooting down of many other UFOs in recent weeks, including a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina.
On Sunday, Slotkin tweeted about the most recent incident: “The item has been downed by pilots from the US Air Force and National Guard.
