In a statement to The Post, Carrey, 61, said, “For three decades it’s been a haven for me. However, I don’t spend a lot of time there now, and I want someone else to enjoy it like I have. He said, “Cha cha cha cha… Changes!” in reference to the well-known David Bowie song.

According to records obtained by The Post, the Canadian-born comedian, who is well-known for his part in “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” paid $3.8 million, or $7.71 million today, for the five-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion in 1994. The enormous property, which spans more than 12,700 square feet, is up for sale for $28.9 million.

Upon learning of the listing, Carrey told the Wall Street Journal that it had been “a haven of enchantment and inspiration” for him for “30 very creative and lucrative years.”

Every night the owls sang me to sleep, and every morning under a huge grandpa pine, I enjoyed my cup of coffee with the raptors and hummingbirds.

Prior to the release of his first big box office success, “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” Carrey bought the house.

The one-story ranch house is on 2 acres and has 280 feet of fenced frontage in upscale Brentwood, according to the ad.

Skylights and fireplaces can be found in the living, dining, and family rooms. For ideal sunshine and indoor-outdoor living, glass doors lead to a courtyard patio.

A breakfast room with views of the pear trees outside is located in the chef’s kitchen.

With a sitting area, a fireplace, a balcony, and a wood-paneled bathroom with a fireplace and a soaking tub, the main suite has been dubbed a “restful sanctuary.”

A gym, an office, a cinema with a snack bar, and more ensuite bedrooms are further attractions.

A tennis field, gazebo, waterfall pool, jacuzzi, pool house with bar, fireplace, and separate infrared sauna and steam room are among the outdoor amenities.

There are even a few meandering walkways and a veggie garden.

The listing is held by Janelle Friedman of Sotheby’s International Realty – Santa Monica-Venice Brokerage.

Carrey bought his oceanfront Malibu property in 2002 and sold it for $13.4 million in 2013.

We don’t know yet where Carrey will settle. The Post has inquired for a response.
