Norwich, Nebraska This spring, a hamlet in northeastern Nebraska will host a unique fundraising event.
An AR-15 golf tournament is being held by the Pierce Fire Department to raise money for more firefighting supplies.
According to Rich Lutz, who claims to be the creator of this novel golfing technique, he looked everywhere to see whether anyone else had thought of it but came up empty-handed. According to Lutz, he will be the first person to ever host something like.
According to our knowledge, we will hold the first-ever AR-15 nine-hole golf event, Lutz stated.
The creation of rules, he continued, was the most difficult step in the procedure.
Rifle golf has a somewhat different set of rules than ordinary golf, according to Lutz.
Lutz is a Pierce Fire Department employee as well. As you can anticipate, not all of the other members were on board when he first proposed the concept.
As you can expect, there were a variety of responses, Lutz said. “Some of them gave me strange looks as if I wasn’t quite getting it. The others responded to it extremely well. We succeeded in demonstrating to everyone of our officers that doing this was safe.
According to Lutz, playing golf with an AR-15 isn’t any riskier than a typical game on the links.
All players will participate in a safety meeting with officials before to the tournament. Each hole will have a range officer holding the gun before and after the participant fires throughout the competition.
The tournament will feature 54 teams of two, with each team paying $450.
At the time of registration, rifles, balls, and blanks will all be provided.
Lutz claimed that using the gun correctly and wishing for the best are the keys to becoming an expert at AR-15 golf.
Lutz saif, “It’s about trajectory.” So, the length of your shot is determined by how high you raise the muzzle.
The competition is on May 6 and gets underway at 8:00 a.m.
