Former Army Secretary Patrick Murphy is warning the American people that “we’re the underdog here” in light of China’s escalating military aggression, which has inevitably resulted in a violation of American sovereignty. His remarks were made on Sunday after the Pentagon announced on Saturday that a third “high-altitude flying item” had been shot down by American forces over northern Canada.

Therefore, it was above Canadian airspace when we shot that one down, according to Patrick Murphy. It was an F-22 fighter jet made in the USA. However, I believe we are conveying a message about what might occur in Ukraine. As you are well aware, we had a formidable coalition against the Russian invasion. And I believe it’s giving China a message—hopefully the right message—that if they continue to meddle, the world will stand behind us.

People need to realise that we are the underdogs in this situation in our wonderful nation. We are one-third the size of them. I’m not simply referring about geography and population, though.

Listen, although we are a reluctant warrior at our finest, America is a warrior. And we need to make sure that, given the obesity epidemic in America and other factors, we wake up and recognise that we have a competitor in China who believes they are the greatest power in the world when less than 1% of the country is serving and only 26% of the country is even qualified to serve. No needless wars are what we want. Always be ready for the worst-case scenario.
